The ultimate expression of winemaking at Mission, Huchet wines proudly honour Brother Cyprian Huchet. The son of a French vigneron from the Loire, he became New Zealand’s pioneering winemaker whilst working at Mission in 1871. Produced in very limited quantities and only from outstanding years. His inspiration, a legacy we continue.
This 2018 Chardonnay is complex and sweet showing toasty and buttery aromas with peach and hints of almond. Ripe citrus and juicy stonefruit flavours, the palate is full bodied, rich with a fine structure, excellent fruit intensity and a long finish. The vintage will cellar gracefully for 10-20 years – the perfect gift or special occasion wine, it comes packed in its own individual gift box.
